Try carefully reading the Owner's Manual. If you don't have one, read or print a copy from the Forum PDF links.

Good luck.

This is listed somewhere on the forum so in the future, use the search button as there is a good chance you will find what you are looking for but I'm not going to harp on you about it though as I was once a newb too. Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum. That being said, here is what you need to do. Press both outside buttons to erase the previous programming, press and hold the button you want to learn until it turns solid then press the button on your garage door remote holding both until the light starts to flash, press the learn button on the garage door opener and then within the allotted time, press the previously programmed button and hold until the garage door opener acknowledges that it has learned the code. You may have to try this a couple times depending on which genie model you have as they are by far the hardest to program and some just won't program at all. Hope this helps.

Select the button you want to have open your garage door. Hold this button and your hand remote's button down at the same time. The little light on the bottom of the car's transmitter will begin to flash slowly. Continue to hold the buttons down until this light begins to flash rapidly, then release them. Then push the car's remote button and the little light should light up.
