Default Adding a Stock Amp.

I am trying to add a stock amp to my amp-less 2006 CF.
I have the standard stero/cd player.
I have the amp and have removed the passenger floorboard.

I did not see any extra wiring for the amp. I was hoping it would be there somewhere. Though I did not pull out the stero.

Does anyone know if the plug/wiring might be allready there?

Or do I need to order the wiring harness (Scosche VW01B) from Crutchfield?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Mark

If it was not already in the car chances are there is no wiring (that goes for pretty much everything from what I have read) Don't think they even have the wiring for the illuminated door panels.

Check this thread It has wiring info and such that may help you out. Didn't check the crutchfield item but I have a feeling it is not what your looking for (again didn't check it so could be wrong)

Is there any reason you are trying to add a factory amp?? It is obviously not a direct plug in install and offers little power compared to aftermarket offerings for less money.

If I were you, depending on your reasoning, I would buy an aftermarket headunit. You will have more power than stock, more tuning ability, and room to add more (ie: Ipod interface, extra amps for subs, etc.)

Just my 0.02

I agree - the stock headunit is terrible! Aftermarket is the only way to go (probably for both the amp and headunit unless you got the stock amp free or real cheap)

and now for some self promotion:
Check out my thread in the Private Classifieds:Blaupunkt MP48 London / Panavise mount
Blaupunkt MP48 - matches perfectly and installs in about 5 minutes
