New Stereo Install on my SRT
Is that the Dual XDVDN9131? It looks nice. Couple of questions:
1. How is the navigation software? I am not familiar with Gogo.
2. How is the Ipod integration? Does the screen display cover art? Allow you to select playlists? etc.
3. Have you had any issues with cell phone syncing? (To include address book)
4. I assume you got this in the $500 range. How would you compare it to similar price ranged products like JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood, and Alpine?
5. What are your general thoughts about Dual quality. I have no basis for an opinion as I know nothing about them.
I have a double din Alpine IVA-W505 system in my daily driver and love it. The only down side to Alpine is cost. LOL

Thanks! I really like the GPS part. It has Gogo software on it and is better than my Garmin I have in my other car! Picks up Satillites in like 10 seconds. Also has TTS (speaks street names) I put the antenna where they put in the stock GPS antenna in the dash behind the center air vents. I didnt think it would pick up being inside the dash like that but it does!
The Bluetooth is great except it wont auto answer which is a nice feature. The instructions say that some Cell phones wont sync all the way and you loose some functions. It still does all I want it to for the phone though. I dont have an Ipod so cant help you with that question. Its does have connection for that along with an SD card and USB input along with 2 other video inputs. I also has rear camera option which I installed and love! When you put it in reverse, the screen pulls out automatically and then retracts when you put it in drive. The screen also retracts when you shut off the car. Like I said on the Gogo software, I think its better than my Garmin and love the TTS. I bought it locally in case theres a problem with it, I can return it with no hassle. You do have to buy the radio antenna adapter for it (#12040EU10 with no Nav) because ours is Euro plug. Got it at Crutchfield. I also got the wiring harness (Metra 70-1786) that intergrates with the current amp and speakers. I was happy with the sound of the speakers and didnt want to pry open my door panels. It sounds great to me! I mostly got it for the Bluetooth and GPS. And Thank god I got away from that CD skipping Infinity! Hated that! The DVD movie part is great also! Crisp picture and great color! The touchscreen is really responsive also! Do not have to press hard at all!

Sounds good. Like I said, I love my Alpine IVA-W505 in my Odyssey, but it starts out at a grand, then you have to add the navigation module, bluetooth module, etc. It adds up quickly. I agree.... for the limited space we have, there is probably no need to go with a high end system. I am still focused on performance mods on mine so luxury items will have to wait. Since mine is not my daily driver, when I do drive it, it is mostly WOT.
So far, I have not had much need for stereo listening while I drive it. Congrats on a nice system. When I get finished with performance mods, I will keep this in mind.
