HELP...Installed Aftermarket Stero But Only 1 Speaker Works?
I referred to the thread below on installing my aftermarket in-dash stereo/tv but only the front driver speaker is working.

I have a 2005 Limited model with the Infinity system and I am wondering if there is something else I need to hookup to turn on the factory amplifier?

As was pointed out in another thread, CLICKING RIGHT HERE will take you to (what I think is) the thread with the best information on the sound system in these cars.
Sorry if I sound really confused but... In order for my factory amp work I have to wire my RCA outputs directly from my Aftermarket HU to the inputs on the factory amp?
I have read other posts and swithced red->yellow, yellow->red, and blue/white->blue.
Should I disconnect the illumination wire as well as the cellphone mute wire?
Other people had got their aftermarket HU to work without doing any splicing and I hope so can I

I have no idea what you connected the cellphone mute wire to, so I can't say if you should undo it.
Best way to get to the bottom of this:
Draw a diagram of the output leads of the HU.
Get into the service manual and get the pinouts of the ORIGINAL HU from the car.
Compare them wire for wire. And use the diagram from the thread I mentioned if needed. You can then make up a diagram of "what wire from the new HU goes to what wire in the car", if needed, you can splice wire directly together IF you cant come up with an adapter cable to make it "plug and play".
That's about all I can do to help, as I've never tried to replace my HU. I DO know that HUNDREDS of XF owners have replaced their HUs and they make it sound SO easy. But seems to me that NOTHING about these cars is easy.

Unhook the cellphone mute wire. It should not connect to anything. Switch Red and Yellow and bluewhite as you stated above. The illumination wire should be hooked up. That should kick it out of phone mode and put it in normal mode. I suggest doing the RCA to speaker wires on harness for best quality. Feel free to PM me for more help/trouble shooting

Ok... my front driverside is working fine but I'm guessing that my Clarion aftermarket HU might not be putting out sound in the other speakers... Soo I'm going to try to use my PreAmp outputs instead and maybe they will work.

I unhooked the mute cord and it still doesn't work. So now I am going to hook up a Hi-Low to the factory harness so I can use the PreOuts on my Clarion Deck instead.
If it still doesn't work, I would hook up the OE headunit and make sure everything is still working. Good luck!

It turns out that the front right channel on my stereo wasn't working.
So I connect the Hi-Low converter to my rear PreOuts on my aftermarket HU and everything works fine
Thats what I get for buying a used item on eBay for $200
Thanks everyone for your help!

I Used To Work In Car Audio Install For Over 15 Years On Both The Retail And Dealership Side Of The Business.i Found A Solution To Your Problem Years Ago In The 1990's.you Can Add Any Din Sized After Market Head-unit To Any Factory Amplified System Using One Of Two Methods Listed Below:
1.connect Rca Cables To The Rca Output At The Back Of Your Alpine.cut The Cable In Half And Use The Covered Wire As Your Positive Input And The Braided Surround Wire As Your Negative Input Into An Factory Adapter Harness That You Should Be Able To Find At Any Car Audio Retailer. I Have Upgraded My 2005 Roadster Keeping The Factory Amp And Speakers With A Sony Head-unit With I-pod Connectivity,hd Radio, Satellite Radio, And Cd Changer Controls.i Also Added Two Amps Component Speakers In The Dash And Kickpanels.i Am Working On A Solution To Add A Speaker Pod Between The Seats For Rear Imaging. Let Me Know If You Have Any More Questions.
I'm Sorry I Forgot To Mention The Other Option Which Is The Best And Allows You More Flexibility. You Can Use Pac Speaker Level Converters Instead Of The Rca Outputs On The Alpine.the Converters Are Adjustable And You Can Set Them To Really Make You System Sound Great.
