When I got my SRT6 back in June, I noticed that the radio wouldn't hold stations at all. I read a few complaints like this from other owners on this forum, but I never saw anyone pinpointing the antenna as the problem.

Anyway, about 2 months ago one of my friends was over in his Jetta and I noticed that it had the same antenna as the Crossfire, so I asked him if we could swap them and see what happened. Well, low and behold - my radio held stations perfectly and his radio wouldn't hold a station at all. So I figured problem solved, and headed to the junkyard and got a good antenna for a measly $5.

For the last couple months the replacement antenna worked fine, but yesterday I hopped in the Crossfire and....no radio stations! I hopped out of the car and pushed down on the metal rod part of the antenna and I could hear the radio pick up stations. So the replacement antenna is broke now too! Neither antenna physically looks broken, but if you flex it, it kind of sounds like you can hear that something is broke inside the base of the antenna.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Ummmm...the radio antenna on the drivers side rear quarter panel. What other antenna is there on the car?

 

I presume you have a roadster? The coupes have integrated rear-glass antennae.
