Memory Savers
Memory Savers
I read somewhere that there is alot of electronic syncronization associated with the roadster roof and a host of other items on the Crossfire. The suggestion on one of the Mercedes sites was to get a memory holder in order to protect PINS and these other things. So I did - a Schumacher type that plugs into the OBD connector and the other end into a cigarette adapter on a portable booster battery. I'm guessing that it is a good idea to hook it up before ever disconnecting the battery for service.
Apart from the fact that it energizes the circuits and so you have to protect things from shorting out, is there any potential problem from using one of these devices? Is it, infact, a good idea? What kinds of things on a Crossfire need to be protected in the event of loosing battery power? Are there PIN codes that I should know about?
