New stereo deck install. HELP!!!
I have installed a new deck and at first, I hooked the spealer level wires into the plug. It worked, and sounded better than the factory, but when I started the engine, all you could hear was a steady low click. After I unplugged things tracing my wires, it started working again. Then, when I turned the key to start it, the clicking started again and no music. I then spliced in RCA plugs for low level input, and it worked wonderfully. Then, again, the dreaded click when I turned the key to start it. The factory radio has the NAV system so I know that there has to be an amp, great bass response, and thought that I was at first clipping the amp with the speaker input being too high. I turned the car off, did not unplug the stereo, for a while, but it did not "reset".
Someone tell me that this is a small problem that can be easily remedied!!!!
