Fuel Gauge not working
Can anyone tell me why my fuel gauge in my 2004 crossfire isn't working? Can it be a fuse? It worked one day and didn't the next. It's irritating but I can live without it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
If yours is a Roadster and you (like me) wash your car with the top down, water can trickle down onto the connectors on the top of the tank. I had this issue about two years ago with my Red one. Fixed it by cleaning the contacts with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol.
It's bedtime so I can't check now, but I don't think there is a separate fuse for the gauge.
May be a bad sending unit in the tank. I have no idea how to access it in a coupe, never owned a coupe.

My car is a 2004 coupe and I have a feeling it's the sending unit. Bummer! I love my car but it's so spendy to work on. Guess I will have it fixed eventually. This really sucks too. I've had my car a year. It was a one owner with only 11,500 miles on it when I bought it. I guess just because it wasn't drivien much doesn't mean it's going to act like brand new for as old as it is.
