Default "Old Lady" wants:GPS Rear View Mirror w/ Backup Camera & Bluetooth

Dear Group: I am a newbie, with less than a week of ownership (2005 Ltd.) As a "seasoned citizen" I am looking for technology to help me - especially with my phone (I conduct a tremendous amount of business over my cell phone, from my car), so I need a Bluetooth receiver. I also want a (somehow) integrated GPS and a back up camera (remember, I'm a 'seasoned citizen'). I know such beasts exist as I have found them, but I cannot find any reviews. Any suggestions? Comments? I love the factory installed Infinity radio - it rocks (and very well when LOUD). Any suggestions and/or comments are appreciated. Thanks!
Ms883 a/k/a Lynn

Welcome Lynn. I'm a seasoned citizen as well lol. But I am horsepower junky so I will let the younger technology guys handle your question. I have seen 1st hand radio/GPS/backup camera all in one with flip up screen. Good luck.

For some reason I'm not reading a DIY option in this.. LOL.
Amazon and Crutchfield have user reviews of such systms.. Just a thought.. find one you like.. check the reviews.. print or write down the model and give Best Buy a call?

Welcome, Lynn!

You will want a Pioneer setup. An AVH-X7500BT receiver with an AVIC-U250 add on GPS unit and an ND-BC20PA rear view camera set. List of dealers here.

There are many other options out there if you're handy with tools :-p

I'm just looking for a way to hook up a back up camera to my Samsung Note myself.

Also check out the Dual XDVDN9131 ( $269.99 ) at
Dual XDVDN9131 In-Dash 7" Touchscreen TFT-LCD Monitor with Built-

seems to have all the features you want without having to buy add-ons.
( nav, bluetooth, input for rear view camera etc. )
Reviews are pretty good too, but I would also get the 3 year extended warranty for $32.99

JESUS... That's only 1,400 plus tax and install for those three items... I bet it's hard to keep those on the shelf..

Hmm.. almost as much as my 42 inch sony lcd when it was the newest and hottest thing on the market..

Miata-san, not sure where you got that $1400 figure.
The HU is $239 and the only other expense would be a tag camera, those are usually < $60,
so you're out the door for $300 or so, + whatever it costs to get a genius to make it all work.

Thank you master, but I might also point out that on your own road to enlightenment, you might in the future include the original post in quotes so that we lesser mortals don't get all confused .
We are all somewhat simple minded when compared to your exalted level.

EDIT : WHOOPEE!!!! POST 2000 !!!!!

Before buying any unit, (and if you want to spend your money wisely), shop around, read reviews and talk to people that know about this stuff. There are some good pointers on the forum and online -- BTW...Welcome to the forum

uhhh, just curious... 883?

All ... The OP said she was a "seasoned" citizen. She did not say she was up to pulling her own head unit and doing the install.

Many current and former members have used Pioneer gear without problems.

And most of you saw the MSRP prices, not the actual dealer ones.

OTOH, we do hear a lot of "when installs go bad" on these boards.

For some of us, time is still money and we need things to work right the first time. I saved a couple hundred on my rear tires last month but had to go back every morning for a week to work out problems with the install. A problem since I work second shift.

Just my .02

Or if you want to keep the OEM stereo, you can get this mirror instead

New Car Rearview Mirror GPS HD 720P DVR Built in Radar Detector Parking Camera | eBay

It has Bluetooth, GPS, rear view camera, front camera with DVR, music & viddo player and can send audio to your radio on an unused FM channel in your area.

It also looks like a simple installation. I might even consider it myself.
