Amp bypass

Default Amp bypass

Can you bypass the factory amp if you install a new head unit?

Simple answer, Yes.

Most just use the stock amp though unless you're replacing everything. Do a search for 4 channel amp mod, that thread has diagrams and such that are very usefull. Since you're new I'd recommend sifting through the threads in this section, you will prob find answers to the majority of your audio questions.

question? why bypass the amp? cant you wire the aftermarket HU outputs to the factory HU outputs? i ask because i want to change mine very soon..
