Default Alternator larger than 120 amp???

Has anyone seen any alternators that are larger than 120 amps?
I will need to change mine soon.
It is not pushing enough power anymore.
With the stereo in my car and how I have the settings it never used to dim the lights until recently, need to check my capacitor and see if it is still charged, could be it.
But either way I going to be looking for a replacement.
I have a great sounding setup atm just alittle bigger alternator would help, a 140 amp would be great.
Bigger alternator with my 5 fard capacitor and I should good.

Been looking around, thought I would ask here if anyone has seen any.
Might have to find a core and take to a alternator shop and have them rebuild me one.

probably need it rebuilt by a radio guy that ups the amps. if you find it i'm interested in a 180amp alternator to power a separate ac compressor to dedicate to a killer chiller

Hi

You could try a 150A alternator from an M113 V8. I'm running a couple of amplifiers and this one works fine for me.

Bosch 150A

Hi

I've got:

Headunit - Soundstream VR-345B
Equalizer/Sub Controller - Soundstream MPQ-7B
Main Amp (replaces stock unit under floor) - 4Ch Soundstream Picaso PN4.520D
Sub Amp - 1Ch Soundstream Picaso PN1.650D
Front Speakers (replace stock units) - 6 3/4" Rockford Fosgate FNX2614 Splits
Rear Speakers (replace stock subs) - 6 1/2" Alpine SPR60 2 way
Sub enclosure - Wicked CAS Fibreglass for Crossfire
Sub - 12" Pioneer TS-W310D4 dual voice coil

Sounds great and more than enough power for a little Crossfire!

Nice, mine is definitely enough to keep me awake on late night drives.
Thinking about changing my kenwood source unit out for the new model, it has a adjustable 9 band eq vs 3 band.
I need a new capacitor, mine is not holding a charge anymore
With my components and running extra pair of tweeters, factory amp can push hard enough to make my ears hurt with the highs if turned up.
the pair of skar vvx 8v3 subs have lots of excursion with big magnets and not needing a huge box, next set would be sundown subs, even better and needs less space.

You don't need a bigger alternator.

You need FOUR of the regular ones.

You would also need a APU to power them.

Yea, but common sense has nothing to do with it. I grabbed that photo off an illegal CB website, they do goofy stuff to generate high power on the road. I am not convinced that anything they do is really effective.

Found this.

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=999574&cc=1429499&jsn=10447

Looks the same to me, same mounting, size and plug.
But the plug is in a different location.
And it is 180 amp, uses another .9 hp over stock 120, 150 amp uses .54 hp at full draw, which would be a at high rpm.

Can anyone see any difference why it would not work?
TY
