Default Console liquid spillage

Accidentally spilled enough liquid from a cup onto the console, affecting radio as it stopped working, although it remained on and the speakers cracked a lot. Next morning it turned on and the speaker was barely audible with full volume. Also the passenger side airbag light stays on after spillage. Those seem to be the affected areas. My local garage suggested going to a dealership, any other ideas? Many thanks.

Default Re: Console liquid spillage

An update and further question. Took car to a larger garage (not a dealership) that was able to get reset the air bag system and the warning flasher. The radio problem turned out to the the amplifier, replacement was around $500. Mechanic said it would be less expensive to get a new radio and bypass the amp with different wiring. He also recommended going to Radio Shack for the work. Any comments most welcome.
