Omg freaking skreem
I had one that went bad about 3 weeks ago.
Not a happy camper. They’re apparently on backorder until August and I’m literally losing my <expletive> mind.
anyone know of any good finding places/have one stockpiled that I can buy?
thank you!

I’ll have to look into that. I was thinking the thing was probably fried.
If you want to delete the immobilizer click below to Ebay but realize the key FOB will only hold the key to open the door as there is no more remote or security if you go that route.

SOS will get you running again and not compromise your key fob from working and your security system is still functional

One last question: the part number on the SKREEM is a Mercedes part number. If Mercedes has the SKREEM it would work in the crossfire, right? In other words... there isn’t any nofty programming I need to be cognizant of that would prevent it from working, right?
.
for the record: I understand that it has to be programmed to work with the ECU... but just want to make sure. Even if it is the same part number it won’t work? (And do we know if anyone else has tried this?)
totally. The idea that I have is to buy the part and have someone program it. So that’s the question is that if it’s the same part number but coming from Mercedes... can it be programmed for a crossfire <by some third party>
Steel Possum-- no sense in buying a new SKREEM, your old one just needs to be re-programmed or whatever SOS does to it. They don't fail physically, something goes haywire with the programming.
But I have to dig deeper in that to confirm that it would work.
Well, SKREEM went off today and skreem for a couple of minutes before going off by its own. Does anyone know what might be the issue, nothing touch the car or hit it in anyway. I started the car and opened the hood and it was skreeming, shut it off then it got lower in skreeming and went off.

Ok, found the other threads on looking for water in trunk area, will do that this weekend as the weather in south florida at the moment is up for grabs this week as heavy showers are passing through the area this week. So could be the deluge of water that we have gotten that set it off today. I did find that moving the 10 fuse, manual close driver's door but have to manually push the button to close passenger door but nothing to lock the trunk, so unlocked at the moment in the driveway but will lock it later tonight in the hopes that SKREEM does not re-emerge

Your problem is bad batteries in your alarm siren. Your skreem controls the ability of your car to start. Do a search for alarm siren and you will find your problem. Your siren will cost about $150.00 if you change it yourself and the skreem in the neighborhood of $700,00 if you do it yourself. I suggest using this site to familiarize yourself with your car. If you click on the link in onehundred80s signature you will learn much if you take the time.
