Default Aftermarket Amp Mounting/Placement

Another question for you guys/girls who have put an aftermarket system into the crossfire: Did any of you find a good place to mount your aftermarket amp while conserving space?

It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of room inside the lining by the rear fenders for a decent sized amp. I'm not too sure about cutting out that material below the trunk liner to make space for an amp. Before I take apart the car, I'd like to have the stereo equipment ready to go.

If you can offer any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

...and while you're at it, how about a CD changer?

I placed my 6 disk changer in the little cubby under the carpet in the trunk. I just cut away about a half inch of the rubber insert that's in there and it fits perfect.

Do you know what is under there? I would need to take a good portion of that out if I were to stick and amp in there.
