So I am leaning towards forward mounting the speakers behind the seats. I am looking for recommendations or opinions if a 6.5" 2-way like the Infinity Kappa would sound better and/or worse than a dedicated sub like the Kicker or JL 6.5?

I will keep this updated. I have the forward facing mounts coming from @chynnalou , I got the 4 ohm Kicker 6.75” to be setup as mid bass, I have an alpine pdx-f6 coming from eBay, and Kicker 51KSS6504. I will dynamat the doors and rear. I will report back. I wanted to go 4 ohm and a slightly higher power amp.

 

I will try to get some more photos but system sounds great. Highly recommend brackets from @chynnalou the alpine amp at 150rms x 4 is perfect. So glad didn’t get less power. Front facing 6.75” and kicker components sounds great. Amazon sent the wrong woofers cs instead of ks so dealing with that. But holy moly what a difference. It sounds perfect.

Installer did amazing. It took him 10.5 hours. Said almost every turn something was a problem. We did sound skin on the doors and entire back where the subs are.
