I had a license plate backup camera that worked great but over time the lense faded by the sun and the bracket holding it to the screws from the license plate broke.
Cam came with the car so I did not wire it up.
I figured I would buy a similar cam and just cut the wire that enters into the cabin and splice the new camera to it.
The problem is there are more wires and different colored wires.
Here is a picture of the existing one with Red, Black, Yellow and White wires.

And here is the new one with Pink, Black, Yellow, White and Green wires (wondering if Pink is actually Red).
New one and where I cut the wire New ones wires
Is there a way to make this work?
I took a closer look at the old connection and it is not the usual RCA connector (Yellow and Red), it's actually a 4-prong connector like this:
So I'm wondering if there is a way to splice the wires together or do I need to look for a camera that has the above 4-pin connectors? I have noticed a lot of backup cameras that come with its own display have that connector so I wonder if that is a better idea.
If anyone has done something like this please fill me in on the best way to go about it without having to re-wire the whole car.
