Default hood lining

We have has a few hot days of 40celcius , went to use the crossfire only to find the hood lining has fallen in , I think its the lining that has left the backing, Has any one had this occurrence , has any one removed the hood lining . If so is there any traps? Saltiga

It's common for the headliner sponge/foam to fail, especially in warm climates. There are many forum member posts on this topic.

Are you meaning hood or head lining?
It gets hotter than that under the hood with no problems, I cannot see it falling apart.
I am sure you meant headliner.
Edit
I am told he is from Oz and he is all upside down, so hood is headliner there I am told.

I took mine to a local upholstery shop to be recovered about 3 years ago. I took it out of the car and reinstalled it myself. It cost about $100 USD.

I have just done my 'roof liner', follow the removal procedure on utube, comes out easy. get a stiff brush and remove all the crappy left over foam, it cost me about $ 90 to do. !.3 mtrs and a can of adhesive. a shop will charge you around the $250 plus mark. i had to do mine to get it over the pits.
Dont bother trying to get all the old glue off. just brush and wipe over with some acetone.
came up a real treat.

Assuming you actually mean the hood liner, mine has a little sag in it also. But not enough yet to be an issue. The first time I noticed "the sag" was when I saw a smudge mark on the air cleaner housing. If & when it becomes a major issue, I'll probably remove it and install an after-market version that has a reflective covering.

Why don't you yanks learn the Queens English, But if you must it is the headliner, Actually if we are in the country upside down then the "HEADLINER should be still in tact! Thanks for the enlightenment and info. Saltiga

I bought a new HOOD LINER! They recommend removing hood before installing, using spray glue and plastic fasteners! I’m surprised that I can find NO videos on how to remove hood safely!

Is the new hood liner an aftermarket product or an original equipment liner? Regardless, there is NO requirement to remove your hood to install a liner. You should NOT glue it to the underside of the hood! Just use the OEM clips and that should secure the liner.
Good Luck....
