Hood lever won't pop the Hood! How do I pop the hood form the outside?
I went to pull my hood release lever to check my fluids and the hood won't pop open.
I had my radiator replaced not too long ago and they might have messed up my hood cable...or I just need to lube the latch.
..either way,
How do I pop the hood latch open? Coat hanger? Large screwdriver? Where do I put it?

first have someone pull the lever all the way while you push the hood down and then lift,, if the hood latch is too low this should open it then raise the latch about 1/4" hope it works. jim

Alright finally got the hood open!
I saw the thread to unscrew the latch. I unscrewed the 2 screws of the latch using a 10mm wrench halfway, joggle the hood a little and hit the release lever on the hood.
The mechanism was getting stuck. Guess it's this pollen season that dried up the latch.
Just got to tighten my cable a little and put some WD40 to oil down my latch mechanism.
Thanks yall!
