ECU and SKREEM Problems
Hi all. looking for some advice for my sons 2005 Crossfire ZH Coupe. The battery went flat and it was sitting flat for some time as he only drives it every so often. The car initially cranked and started once the battery was charged but would run for a bit then stop. Now the car wont start/crank at all. I watch a youtube video about bridging out a cable to the starter motor and when i did this the motor cranked. The car has already had the crank sensor replaced. Ive since been told by an auto electrician that the SKREEM unit has probably lost its settings. Further to this, the auto electrician is unable to connect to the ECU with the ODB reader. he is telling me that the ECU is dead and the SKREEM is dead. Ive looked on line and can purchase ECU/SKREEM units from the US but would prefer some expertise in Australia. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thank you guys for your responses. Seems it maybe be the RCM and special thanks to CL770 for sending a refurbished one to me. I'll test it out and report back to the thread. Appreciate the help.
