Re: CICCI Thoughts...
The events mentioned are Woodward, Dragon and Carlisle events not .org or CICCI events. Lets get that straight. ANYONE CAN AND SHOULD ATTEND. No one is ever excluded. We may as a club provide support from time to time but these events are open to all. I know for a fact that we are providing a shelter tent for Carlisle FOR EVERYONE, MEMBER OR NOT. Last year we didn't have the required 25 participants so this year we have to pay for the tent. CICCI will do that and the area will be open to all who attend, member or non member. If we get a large number of people we will get two tents.
There will be certain perks that our club acquires for its members that will not be available to .org members. Take a step back and look at it this way. Pick any "club" lets say Knight's of Columbus, Rotary Club etc. These clubs all have dinners, lunches, functions etc. and they are in your neighborhood. Because they are in your neighborhood and you are not in their club does that give you a right to attend their function? Unless you are invited or are a member the answer should be NO. We will not exclude anyone from joining the club no more than JD ever excluded anyone from joining XFI which morphed into CICCI with his blessing and support.
There are certain people on .org that expect each of us to be perfect. Here's a bulletin...WE ARE NOT OK? Get over it. We all have full time jobs that the last time I checked was the priority. I spend a good two hours a day on club business, some do a lot more. Point is we are going to make mistakes, its human. C'mon Mr. F you're a good guy, you never made a mistake? We do everything in our power to make this an above board, class organization. We are brand new, 2 and a half months old, please show us some patience.
Regular Membership is open and we would love to have as many of you join as can stuff our e-mail boxes.

sure i have made mistakes. the key is learning from mistakes. if some people here sent me a memo at work i'd laugh. i bet it's sent out in that f-ing Comic Sans Serif font, too. how can i take that seriously?
and yes i know i don't capitalize on the Internet but that's just being lazy in what i feel is an informal setting. rest assured if i was asking for your business i'd impress you with full capitalization and plenty of big words.
it irks me, especially when someone wants my business. it just looks unprofessional. makes one wonder what other details aren't being attended to.
this was on a local car dealer's commercial...

Re: CICCI Thoughts...
Crossfireforum.org members should not join CICCI to gain any sort of new, secret information. The crossfireforum.org site is still undeniably the best source of Crossfire information.
I joined because I am enthusiastic about my Crossfire. I hope anyone else that joins has the same enthusiasm. If you don't join, it's no big deal, we're still happy to have you on here.

Re: CICCI Thoughts...
I joined the Forum.org as a new owner last year because of the expertise and knowledge of most of the members. I found a great group in the South Forum, CTC, and remain active in it. Having said that, I became increasingly bummed by the few nasty dissenters and rabble rousers that when CICCI opened it's doors, I jumped at the opportunity to try a new venue.
Cicci is a social, cameraderie oriented club that will grow and eventually have many GTGs and meets along with the members of the forum. There is room in this world for more than one organization, therefore backbiting and name calling is both immature and unworthy of the members. One reason the .org is losing it's members is because of ****-ant name calling and chastising of "newbies" for asking questions that could be researched in the SEARCH section.
It's like telling a kindergartener to go find the bathroom himself while he's holding his crotch rocking back and forth from foot to foot. REMEMBER, "THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS, ONLY STUPID ANSWERS"
This is still the best forum for technical or off the wall answers once you've learned the ropes, but you shouldn't have to wade through a pile of manure to get there. Ever look at the number of "members" that are listed for years without a single post? Did you enjoy the porno show some sicko put on last October?
Cicci is a fresh, new club with new ideas and hard working people. I am 100% more comfortable there, but I will continue to contribute here with anything I feel is of interest to the members.
