Smile Finally Registered, Glad to be here

Hi everyone, been a long time browser of the fourm (for almost 2 years), but finaly bit the bullet and joined.

As far as having a x-fire, i dont got her yet, but will be pretty soon. Ive been fantasizing over a (perfably black) Srt-6 for a while now, and with things starting to pick up its time to go on a serious hunt for one.

You have a very informative fourm, and im proud to be a member!

Black has always been my favourite colour, although the silver ones ive seen really makes the car really stand out in a crowd, i perfer the back for the sleek look. My parents have a black R/T charger that ive done some goodies on (smoke black tint, black tail light covers, black chrome srt-8 rims) and i really like that semi-blacked out mafia look

Now i had originaly wanted the roadster, but with the limited trunk space for a sub system and golf clubs, i had to go the coupe route.

Sounds cool! i was reading that eariler today, i wll definetly keep an eye out on that. I know i will probably not have the car by then, im sure it would be a neat thing to meet up

Ill tell ya guys this, i am planning on being a long time fourm member, thats for sure! Ive got soo many ideals and designs floating around in my head, i cant wait to get the car and start modding (within reason lol ), I am a mechanical design engineer, slowly tryin to work my way up the bizz, but my real crazy passion is building customized golf carts (its kinda a small side buissness), and over the years slowly saved up and built up my shop arsenal with tools. Right now one of my projects on the go is a birdgeport kee mill cnc conversion with 4th axis rotary table. This will hopefully be one of my special machines that will help make any custom mount, gadget or part i can think of for my car. Hopefully Because these cars were pretty low production, theres really a lack of specialty parts and such in the automotive aftermarket world.

One ideal i kinda had floating around, thought i would share was a new complete low profile intake manifold that would allow you to use a more efficent root/screw supercharger, then being stuck with the standard MB SC. A larger/more efficent SC would allow you to keep lower intake temps while allowing you to reach higher levels of boost! I just need a spare engine so i can get the mount locations and geometry proper, then do some flow testing in CAD software... My mind can really wander around when i have too much free time. lol

Welcome to the forum. If you are seriously considering an SRT6 then you may want to consider importing one into Canada. There were only 30 or so SRT6's brought in to Canada so they are extremely rare and do not come up for resale very often. The timing for import hasn't been better with our dollar swinging around parity. If you could afford the car now, I would suggest exchanging your Can $ to US $ while we are on or above par with the US $ , then when you find the car you want you will be ready to pounce.
I'm sure you have already seen the Grey SRT6 posted here that is for sale on ebay............ just a few hours drive away!
Good luck in your quest.

Oh yes ive seen that one!

Without a doubt i will be buying a US car, perferably from the south (Virginia and lower) (not too fond with ones from florida IMO). Ive seen alot of good deals from texas area. But if the price is too good to pass then i might go with something more "northern". Having relatives in the Virginia area will help make the importing process ezer (take my sweet time on the way up, and enjoy the sights of the east coast) But once its in my hands, all it will see is summertime sunshine, and lots of pampering

Heck i saw a silver convertable on ebay for a buy it now of around 17k~ish... with low miles. Not a bad deal at all!.. but i just have to hold out for a coupe. And that 950mi coupe for around the 20K area. its in the high range, but heck its basicaly new, hasnt even been broken in yet.

Ive got my importing info all ready to go too, and the fact that they got their act straight over the bumper laws is a thumbs up for me.
Just gotta find the right one, and get some time off of work, and get-r-done Ive been holding off purchasing my first vechicle for a while, and ive always said, good things come for those who wait

I have proof sitting in my garage that cars from Florida can be PRISTEEN!!!

I would not hesitate to buy out of Florida AGAIN.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

To:SparkieSRT-6

Ive just got a iffy gut feeling that if i get one from florida there could be a problem with it (ex rental, lemon policy, somethin funky), however if its a one owner private sale, i would have no inital concerns. But it all depends on what i can get.

Cool thing man , btw i know here in bradford theres a white std coupe i see crusing around some times, when i was traveling back and forth between bradford and barrie last year i used all allways curse by him when he merged onto the 400 off of mapleview road at 5:00pm. lol

Hey welcome! Sparkies right, if it's an SRT6 you're looking for your best bet is South of the Boarder. That one that just sold in Michigan with less than 1000 miles on it was a bargain! There's an AB SRT 6 coupe in Batavia (about 3-4 hours south of you) I looked at in January and the Dealer still has it. They've come about 3K off the price and is now about $14K. It's a decent car, needs a Driver's seat cushion cover and door panel and an engine bay clean-up, no wheel rash and the paint is good, maybe to good on the front end. It's a local Orchard Park/Buffalo NY car, 27,000 miles and the Dealer will sell you a warranty that's good in Canada. Now if, if it's an N/A coupe you'll settle for I have one in my driveway.......still has Factory warranty! Happy hunting!

Hey Bluecoupe,
I had also seen the one in Batavia on Autotrader.com when I was shopping. I'm surprised that the one that a lucky forum member just bought on ebay from Michigan was'nt snapped up sooner. That is really one of a kind. My wife loves the SRT6 so much shes pressuring me to start looking for a Roadster for her. Saw a NA one at a used car dealer in Concord but overpriced at $30K for a 2008 with a large front fender dent. You can even see it in the pics on Autotrader.ca
Also saw a 2005 Roadster last week at a used car dealer in Oakville. Always looking I suppose.
