Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Group Buy (Buffalo) - INTEREST?
Through a Buffalo Area forum member, I'm looking into setting up a group buy on Hankooks. The plan would be to pre-order the tires from a reputable Buffalo Area tire shop and converge on his shop on a Saturday or Sunday in May or June for the install. If we get enough interest, the tire shop will close for regular customers and we could turn the place into a Crossfire meet. This is open to anyone looking to get a great "South of the Border" deal on Hankooks. Also available for those who reside south of the ditch.
The more interest, the better the prices!!!!
ps Not looking for a full commitment here right now.... just want to gauge the interest. Once I know how many would be interested I will pursue pricing.
So we have a group buy of two full sets of the same size:
1) SparkieSRT6- Full set = 2 Front @ 225/40/18 and 2 Rear @ 275/35/19
2) v2addict - Full set = 2 Front @ 225/40/18 and 2 Rear @ 275/35/19
Here is a thread with reviews on these Hankooks :

These are the tires that were put on new when I picked up my car in Michigan. I've only put on 800 miles before it was laid up for the winter, but I'd say that these tires were easily better than anything else I've had on similar vehicles. By the time my new steering stabilizer(s) arrive and get installed, I'll be a happy camper I'm sure.
Actually, that might not be a bad idea for your Buffalo "day". Order a whack of steering dampners at a good price and change them while the cars are up on the rack!
My tires are Ventus V12 EVO 255/35ZR 19 96Y Rear and 225/40ZR18 92Y Front. These tires are single rotational so there is no tire rotating possible. Another good reason for everyone to get tires, balancing, stabilizer and maybe get the dealer to throw in a decent air pressure guage too.
One of the members suggested that he used a "remove before flight" flag on his steering wheel to remind him of the battery charger. I'd like to get a couple of these flags to remind me to check my air pressure more often than I do. I was going to run 35psi all around. After reading the posts on tires, I'm scratching my head about increasing it.
Any other thoughts on the tire pressure subject?
I read too, that there may be a need to reset these sensors. I have no idea if that was done when my tires were replaced.
Is there an easy way to determine if the TPM sensors are working?

If the tire pressure light is off then you are just fine, they do not need to be reset just because the tires were replaced.
I am not sure if they have to be reset if the position of them is changed on the car. There is a pattern of setting them so a change in pattern may throw off the settings. But as our fronts and rears cannot be switched maybe it does not matter.
Tire outlets can reset them, there is no need for an expensive visit to the stealership.

Hope the idea takes off and a group buy and meet works out

I'm not so sure. He's been spending pretty good lately. Surely he'll hit the bottom of that seemingly bottomless pit soon. LOL

Just because I sunk a few dollars into my car recently out with the comments
. Thats what can happen when you save up for a new street bike and at the last minuet change your mnd and get the v8 instead
Yes I will need rear tires. I dont need fronts to match the rears so whatever tire decided I should be in for 2. I am looking at atleast a 305 30 19...

Ok once we know how many more are interested we'll get a price on a set of rears in your requested size.
The V-8 was a whole lot better investment Beaner. If you ever come for a visit, you can ride the old Harley...lol...sorry, I sold the Ninja... wasn't putting enough hours on it to keep two bikes, and needed the room for the coupe. But, the V-8 you can enjoy in all weather. Now, come on spring, and you can light up those old tires and post the pictures.
These are the tires that I would buy but I do not need them yet, and I am not about to toss out the ones I have. I may be starting a small Crossfire parts depot but these take up too much room and will deteriorate just sitting there.
If the price is real good though I might be tempted anyway.

I don't need them, but may be interested. May cost a little more with the 19" fronts and 20" rears.......
At least for the get together, unless I have some time to remove some rubber prior too......

We have been told that if we have seven members, the pricing will be very aggressive. The more buyers we have the more we save. Anyone need spare sets???

If your tires are still good, why change them?? Hey we could always make this an annual pilgrimage for tires.
