LA Auto Show
Great show with lots of exotics and concepts. Ford had a Mustang styling exercise to compete with production ready Dodge Challenger and Chevy Camaro...Muscle cars are back!
At Chrysler I noticed a large gathering of people around a roadster. Working my way through the crowd I discovered the center of attention was a Crossfire Roadster. Not a 2007, but a brand new '05 SRT6 with a $51K window sticker.
Of course no one working the booth knew anything about it. The majority of the attendees thought it was a Chrysler concept vehicle...unbelievable!

On Nov 1/06 I purchased a new 2006 XFire Roadster. One of the appearance features I liked was the ribbed hood.
To my disappointment, I now see the 2007 Sebring and the coming new 2008 Sebring Convertible with ribbed hoods. I feel that our XFires have now been cheapened.
That could be why they were showing the XFire in LA. It makes the Sebring appear to have more value.
In my opinion.

At the beginning of 06' I saw a car at the auto show in San Jose that looked badas*. It was like a full size car that looked like it had some of the finer shape points of the Crossfire. Unlike the Sebring, which is ugly as sin even with the hood slats, this car looked great. It was a concept car and will probably never see the light of day as a production car.
