Default Car Show Judging Bigotry

While doing a little research for a thread on another forum I frequent, I came across this 1999 article in MoPar Muscle Magazine.

1970 Mark Donohue Javelin - AMC - Mopar Muscle Magazine

What I found interesting was the "Controversial and Brave statement" the Head Judge (Keith Rohm)
made in Paragraph 16 and 17 of the article.
I doubt if he's still judging, but I really can't say for sure if he is or not.
My point is, I hope if any Crossfire owners ever want to enter their cars into the "OE Certified Competition", the judges are a little more open minded now.

While I am taking my SRT6 to shows about every two weeks, these are just on a local level but I have found a lot of bias in the judging. For the most part they do not know how to classify the car but the worst part is that there are many judges who are Ford or Chevy guys and their marques win most of the awards. Even a really poor DeLorean but it had a $35 plastic battery operated Flux Capacitor displayed so it won!!! What the f..... is that all about? The bigger and more professionally run show the better I do. I have won three times at the bigger shows.

If there isn't a modern muscle class of some kind, I don't even bother to enter anymore...just go and look.... Especially, the restorers....they hate our cars...they like their old iron rapped in a newer drivetrain...just my take on it...Glad Tony does well in the NY area...cause most don't...

I have no complaints about car show judges. I'm up to 46 awards for my 04 and 9 awards for the SRT so far.

I take my RED SE to a car show and they tell me they have no class for millionaire cars ... mine cost $25K. I look at the other cars and see nothing I would trade for... How sweet it is... Gary..
