Well that sucks.

Most of us stopped looking because we thought "it was trashed"
The Blue one I posted, not the black one that thread jacked and got us confused.

I hate pronouns

Nobody bid on it ( the blue one) though so it ( the Blue one) may go again.

Perhaps Dan ought to stop by and look.

OK Dan, would you mind peeking in. About 20 guys passed 'cause we were under the impression it was trashed.

It's not for me mind you.
I'm fine but have....have...uh some friends, yeah that's it, some friends interested.

I'm actually kinda pissed right now. I was seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on it. I don't need another one but at that price, I'd float it for a few months and have it paid off by the end of the year. Dammit!

I told you, I know how to fix that with a sawsall.
Rudy, I spoke with the dealer, It's still available.
They got back to me real fast.
I'll wager they will jump at the $11,990.
I'll wager they will take less.

fly into DFW and drive it home.
Stay over at my place, if you want to come that way.

Please report back with the good, bad and the ugly. Texas is a $149 flight and a straight shot north on 35 for me.

Just kidding! I didn't buy it. Besides, it's the slower color.

Here's what I found:

* about 12-15 small rock chips on hood.
* very minor door ding in drivers door. It could probably be easily fixed with the dry ice trick. Otherwise, no other dings.
* small place on driver's side rear bumper where paint has rubbed off. A line about 6" long by 1/8" wide. Not very noticeable.
* crack in windshield at low center. Not in the field of vision but should be replaced IMHO.
* both headlamps fogged. Not too too bad.
* misc. minor paint surface scratches. Nothing that a good detail can't remove.
* rear tires: Goodrich - fair condition
front tires: Pilots - good condition
* very dusty engine bay.
* misc. minor scratches on rims.
* visual inspection of underneath, there appeared to be no damage. But pretty dirty.
* what appears in the photos as a burn in the arm rest on the driver's door looks more like a minor manufacturing defect. It's not really noticeable in person. Otherwise, the interior is very clean and the cup holder even works.

I took it for a short test drive and it drove just like a solid SRT-6. There was a small rattle from the rear that I believe is the standard latch problem (I've never had that problem so I can't be 100%).

Josh, the salesman said it was a trade in. I could tell by the glue remaining from the former dealer label that it has once been a Bonham Chrysler car. For those that don't know about Bonham, they got a bunch of Crossfires when Chrysler dumped them on the market. I purchased my SRT-6 from them.

All-in-all it appears to be a good buy. Josh said you can go to Planet Preowned Direct | Pre-owned Dealer | Mesquite, Texas and get a free Carfax.

The first thing the buyer should do is check the air filters and of course change the oil.

Awesome work Inferno. Somebody should jump on it.

I can't understand the 92 rating with all the minor blemishes but actually, that's not related.

I truly have everything ($) tied up in new machinery.
And another SRT
With the economy down the bargains are everywhere
So many deals, so little time.

Rcompart, jump on this will ya?

Come-on Franc. Go dig up those coffee cans you got buried in the back yard, buy it and tell Cathy you did it for her. I'm sure she's tired of waiting for you while she's sitting at the gas station & wondering when you are going to catch up and gas up her 6.

So, Crumpy and I had a board meeting.
Results of the voting;
I gotta choice. Get the SRT we don't need(I just want it) or pay the Personal Property taxes. I voted fot the SRT.
She then pointed out that the Plates on my current car and the ones I would need onthe new SRT couldnot be hadif we Don'tpay The personal Property Tax.

Personaly, I think the Personal Property Tax sux. Especially since it includes the Company assets. Hardly seems fair because the company assets create jobs and tax revenues for the State. Seems they ought to pay me.

So I voted again for the SRT. There is only Crumpy and me at the board meeting. So I lost 2 to 1.

See there are three seats on the board of directors. If you ask Crumpy how come she gets two votes and I get only one...? She will say "Simple really. I have two X chromesones and he only has the one."

Rudy, the SRT in Mesquite TX, It's all yours.

Things are different in my house Franc. I'm still looking at this car telling myself I don't "need" it. All I have to do is tell Sunna (wife) that I'm getting the car and it's done. All she does is shake her head at me.
I actually wish she would say "No" sometimes!
With 16 cars already, I think it's best to let Rudy get it so he can catch up!
Go for it Rudy! Meanwhile I'll keep looking for my project XF.
