Hi, I have a Black 2006 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Convertible available for sale in South Africa. It is a right hand drive model, and being an '06, it's one of less than 20 or so in the world. VIN ends with 068797, which also makes it among the last few ever produced. She is truly a beauty, and i've taken incredibly good care of her, but since i've moved from S.A, and can't take her with me, I have to put it up for sale. She has 60,000kms (37,000 miles) on the clock, and i've taken her in for timely services.

I am selling this wonderful machine for 260,000 Rands (23,000 British Pounds). Let me know if you are interested, and I can send pictures and more details.

You have a very nice SRT6 and its amazing the sales price is very high in South Africa. The cleanest, low mileage (under 15,000 miles) are selling in the USA for $20,000 USD or less. The ones located in the UK are in the 13-14,000 (British Pounds) range (Autotrader.UK). Its good to see they are retaining the price in South Africa.
Do you know of any other Crossfire SRT6 owners in South Africa? If so, point them to our sight.

South Africa has always been car crazy. We're very passionate about cars. There's only one other SRT-6 here, and its selling for a little less than mine (but has 20,000 kms more on it). South Africa has a ban on importing used vehicles which keeps the local market on unique cars robust. I hope that we will get a car enthusiast who's interested enough!

 

What a ridiculous thing to ban. Ah, who knows - maybe the USA has such a ban, what do I know?

 

It's actually because Japan dumps their old cars in Africa because of their emision standards. So Africa is filled with cheap, old, polluting Japanese vehicles. South Africa believed that their auto manufacturing industries would suffer as a result of these cheap cars, so they lobbied, and hence the import ban on old used cars. New cars, however are fine.

For what ever reason, any cars for sale in the UK, never have the VIN# listed in the ads. I've sent emails to the dealers and owners, requesting the VIN#'s, but they never responded. Maybe one of our forum members in the UK can obtain those 2006 or even the 2005's located there for sale....
