Someone wants your car if they are giving you $18k...'cause they are going to sell her for a profit to someone on their waiting list. Love to have that color, but the banker says no...I am Xfire'd out...lol

If your buying a $45K+ car then the dealer likely had 3-4K added in the price of the car to cover your trade. Makes it look like your getting the most for you trade. If you negotiated from dealer cost up instead of sticker price down, got a good price and are still getting 18K for your trade then you did great, let the dealer have the car and enjoy your new ride. What are you buying that would make you give up your low production Roadster SRT-6?
Yeah what he said. I tried to talk to you about your deal but you just clammed up. No dealer in their right mind is really giving you the amount you think you are getting. Try making a deal from a no trade cash position and see what kind of deal you get. That's the only true way to know what you are paying for the new one. Still interested in a real deal.
Kelly Blue Book, for what is worth, has the roadster with that mileage at $20K + in excellent condition... It isn't out of the park, he can get this much, but, like I said, they have a buyer if they are giving him that much...someone is looking for your roadster. Too bad you can't find them first... good luck...it is worth the $18K...but not a nickel more...as KBB is always a little high...

I see these near 20k asking prices but I don't see any sales. I paid 14,800 (pp) with 17k miles this sspring for a roadster. Anyone recently pay more for a similar CF?

real deal actually happened.
Now NA roadsters at $14-15K are rather common. But not at 17 K miles.
I like this one, even at $20K, but simply cannot do it. Two crossies is all I can support.

I apologize for "clamming up" There were two reasons that happened.
1) You were only interested in trading your coupe for my convertible plus a couple $1000. I was not interested. Hence your accurate sensation that I had gone cold on that deal.
2) Every time I drive my car I love it. I bought my new $43k SUV, got a loan for $10k, and kept my beautiful crossfire until the time, the buyer and the deal are right.
Sorry if I upset you.
For what it's worth, I was at $350 over invoice on a new 2012 Toyota ($43,000.00 sticker), paid $37,250.00. My family work for Toyota so I know the numbers on both sides of the fence. If anyone cares, I was made a legitimate cash offer of $17,000 (plus a sales tax savings of $1300 if I traded in) for a grand total of $18,300.00 apples to apples against a private sale. And there was no money left in my new car purchase deal other than the $350 previoulsy stated. So that is what this car is worth in cash today. Please realize the horrible low trade in value most people are offered are not based on KBB or Edmunds or NADA. All trades are initially based on 2 simple things.
1)Am I certain I can I retail this on one of my lots?
2)What is the Black Book Value based upon auction cars like it sold in the last X months.
It is number 2 that kills our cars value. Most months, in most regions the average car dealer pulls that number and it comes back "No Data" because this car is so rare.
