Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
I have fought the dilemma too long, and have decided that it is time to sell my Crossfire. I am the original owner. It is a 2005 Base Coupe in like-new condition. It is black with gray interior and a manual transmission. The car has been garage kept and seldomly driven. It has only 834 miles on it! That's right, 834 miles (Go ahead, give me criticism for not fully enjoying the car). I've popped on this awesome forum and have read postings from time to time throughout my ownership, although haven't ever posted anything. I figured I'd post it here to see if there would be any interest in it and to get a feel for what people's thoughts are as to what I should be able to get for it. I currently have it listed locally for $16,900.

~ wow... that sounds like a real nice crossfire!!! pictures may be helpful for interested parties.

Have any of the fluids been replaced due to age and/or stagnation? Brakes and whatnot still functioning properly? No warning lights on the console? About how often was it driven during its short 834 mile life?
Re: Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
The oil has been changed. All the other fluids are original to the car. The brakes function properly. There are no warning light on. The car was not driven very often. More of the miles were accumulated earlier in the car's life. I start it up and run it for a while to get it up to temperature about once a month. Everyso often, I'll take it for a short drive along with running it. I did so last week. It drove great.
Re: Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
What are people's opinions on what this car would be worth? i have checked AutoTrader, Ebay, and a couple different Craigslists, and this seems to be on the higher side of what cars are going for, but still in the going range. Also, I haven't been able to really find many with this few miles.
Re: Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
This seems a bit high, not by much, but perhaps 1 or 1.5k lower would give you a better fighting chance. if you leave it on the market long enough, i imagine someone will see the value and grab it up, but that would take a long time i imagine. Being a base coupe, i might take the price point down just a tad, but then again it's not my car or my money.
Re: Real low mileage Crossfire...time to sell
Thanks for the inputs. I figured it was a little high. I will probably post it online soon for 15,900 and see what kind of replys I get. If anyone here is interested, the price is negotiable.
Nada says 13000k kbb says dealer retail is 14500. I uave seen several limiteds in my area with 4-8k miles asking in invthe 14's and auto prices are fairly high here. Hope you get what you want out of her but definately gonna take just that right buyer to that for a base no mayter how low the miles are.

Price is too high... on the OTHER hand, if someone comes along that wants a NEW Crossfire - yours will be about the only game in town (or in the whole COUNTRY).
If you NEED to sell it, lower the price. If you don't really NEED to sell, hang in there. They ain't making any more of 'em!
