2004 Coupe for sale in DC Area
My fiance has a black 2004 Crossfire for sale. She was planning on trading it in, but the dealer is offering us a terrible deal so I thought I put it up the Crossfire Forum for folks interested in these cars. The car is generally in good shape, but please note it has some kind of upper engine damage that is dumping oil into a cylinder under acceleration. Hence, it is definitely a project car. Here are the particulars:
The Good
-Black paint
-95,000 miles
-tires have less than 1,000 miles on them
-almost new battery
-rear wheel was replaced last year due to slow leak
-interior is in good shape
paint is in good condition
The Bad
- the aforementioned engine problem. The shop suggested a brand new engine, which is more of an investment than we care to make in this car. I'd tackle it myself, but I already have too many project vehicles I'm reviving.
-the front quarters have some white scratches from fights with DC parking garages. It's nothing substantial and should buff out with a little work.
- cup holder is broken and the electric mirror adjust **** is missing (but still works)
For someone with a little knowledge of Crossfires, I'm guessing it wouldn't be too much trouble to get this one back in condition. Unfortunately my skills run more towards overweight Jeep V-8s so I hate to delve into this one. Or if worst comes to worst, it would make a great parts car.
The car is currently in Gaithersburg MD. It's drivable, but not for long distances. We're asking $4,000 , but I'd really like to get it to someone who can use it quickly instead of sending it off to the auctions.
Please e-mail presssouthworth at mac.com for more information.
Thanks!
