Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
I took my car to the local dealer and was told that I could sell my SRT-6 Roadster for around $26,000 privately. I was told that the rarity of the color and low mileage combined with the fact that it is a roadster push the value up dramatically. I love the car and really don't want to sell it, but for that price, how could I not consider it.
I have a Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11,034 miles on it (I am still driving it through the park, though, on 75 degree dry days).
It's all original - no mods - and is in near showroom condition (I bought it from a collector who kept it in a heated carpeted garage).
My question is: could I sell this car for $26,000? I love the car, but my daughter is eventually going to go to college.

You may have to wait a long time and your daughter may have graduated by then.
I'd say $18,000 max.
Others may disagree.

Beautiful low mileage SRT Roadster for sure but the dealer gave you false hopes
Probably could find a buyer that would pay around $16.000.00 max based on what I see here frequently reading the adds on this forum.
Good luck if you decided to sell but personally it's a keeper and you shouldn't let it go
Re: Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
If you are serious, I will pass the info on to a friend... This isn't his preferred color, but I think he would pay the up to 18 if it is perfect, but that would be his top. He's negotiating on an SL500 right now, so I will have to act fast. It would be a cash deal...
Re: Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
I'm not real motivated to sell the car in the teens. I've seen a few sell for $20-21k with low miles in other colors. I looked at a blue srt-6 roadster in Illinois this past summer that ended up selling for $20,400. Even $21k seems not worth getting rid of it because it is pretty incredible. I also thought $26k was really outrageous, but I had to ask. I would guess that the larger sales come from those newbies that are becoming Crossfire enthusiasts not from the forum members. I think my bottom line would be $22.5k. Otherwise, I'll keep enjoying it on the nice days of summer. Thank for all of your feedback!

To answer your question; No. But as an incentive, it would make one hell of a College Graduation Present! If I had the $$, I'd go 19,000. tops.(If it's pristine!)

What a gem! The problem is, you'll need to find a cash buyer that wants it bad enough because it's book value won't support a loan for that amount. Good luck and I support you!
Re: Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
Each year from now until she graduates there will be fewer and fewer SRT-6 of any color. While Graphite is not as fast as Black it is a very period correct color and is beautiful on the Crossfire giving it a serious industrial no nonsense look. Roadsters have proven over time to be the most attractive of collectibles and with SRT becoming its own brand, the awareness of the specialness of what you have may increase.
That said, if you can get $26,000 and that represents a profit I suggest you do it and buy a CD in your daughter's name. If you are in need of selling the car and want to know if that is a bottom line price you should place on it, I would suggest that might not be realistic if you need to sell quickly.
$22,500 may not be far off and certainly justifiable.

Re: Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
Well, I know I have a nice roadster as well and I would love to get in the 20's for it with 5k in performance upgrades as well. 18 would be my top offer, and I know that is all my buddy would pay in cash... No one is going to finance 10 yr old cars regardless of miles. It takes a collector. I would love to see you get it, because mine would be worth more, but it won't happen. And like you just stated, mine is setting in the garage and I don't have to sell it...Good luck either way, as my friend will pull the trigger in the next week or so, and he has kept an open mind about a XF, but is looking at SL's right now. So, money and appraised value is what he looks at as well as I. Like it or not, a car no longer produced which has a lot of hiccups that most sports car people don't know about or know how to fix will sway these cars ever commanding that kind of money as it has been proven over and over on this forum. Bottom line, is you get what someone is willing to pay, and cash buyers aren't out there that often as you can see from all the new owners on here. Most aren't old farts like me, but young car owners, ready to mod the hell out of them. Again, good luck, as it is a good looking car from the photo.

Keep it!
By the way, what are the last 5 numbers of your VIN#, so it can be added to the SRT6 VIN# database?

Like house owners, car owners are usually unrealistic in their believed value. Considering i just bought the same car with 13,000 mi in a coupe for $ 15,000.00, i'd give 2k max additional for the convertible= $ 17,000.00

Re: Thinking of selling my Graphite SRT-6 Roadster with 11k miles
I'd go $18K if it is as advertised.
Topless has one with 4000 miles on it for $25K and he has not sold it in over a year.

I can't even find topless to offer him 18k. My friend is still looking. He really doesn't want gray though.
