Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
Why are the Crossfire selling so cheap prices? I bought mine 14 months from Car Fax I new what I wanted and paid $14,000 and happy to have bought it, but had I read the forum about all the problums I may have been discourged to do so, I have had mine for about 5,000 miles and 14 months and no problums and love it more each day. When I bought it 38,000 miles and 14 months later 45,xxx miles and love it more each day. I recently ran CarFax and they said I paid $640.00 less than what the value was showing, when I bought it all 4 tires were new and CarMax changed the oil.

The answer to your question should be a sticky.
The car is a redheaded orphan stepchild of the divorce between Daimler and Chrysler. It got poor reviews from the press at it's less than prestigious launch.
But as you have experienced, it is a fine example of Mercedes engineering and Karman assembly.
They are also getting old in years and most bank financing will not touch a car over eight years or over 100,000 miles.
You did not overpay for your Crossie. There simply are bargains out there and one gets for what they pay. On that metric, the Crossfire is not different than any other vehicle out there.
The 'verts run around $13K the Coupes around $11K. Mileage and condition make the difference from those means. Age has some bearing,,, no real surprise there.
This offering is low but perhaps it is condition, or pressure to quickly sell a convertible in the fall,

Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
I paid about $13,500 considering my trade deal, for my 2004 a couple months ago with 5,600 miles on it. I felt it was well worth it being a basically new car. As lo9ng as I have it, I got a good deal, the day I go to sell it I will find I got ripped off. I have been planning on getting a SRT8 392 in a couple years, but I think I can fit 2 crossfires end to end in my garage, and I may keep this and get a Roadster someday.
Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
I think I have set a reasonable price for my car for Year and Mileage. As I said it looks good and drives good. There is the normal road rash on a 10 year old car. The Heated seats weren't working when I bought it 2 years ago and I never worried about them. The TPM Light came on a couple of weeks ago. I checked air pressure and it was good in all the Tires. So I guess Sensor went out.
Any inspection is welcomed.

Only folks who own one of them think that price is cheap.
I have passed your listing on to a friend but she is in Michigan and hesitant to buy a toy now to put in winter mode storage.

Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
I paid $7,750 for my 06 with 70K and the vanilla interior and like new Cooper tires about a year ago. Rear glass was detached.. no big deal as the repair has worked great.. and a few other "minor" issues also. And just happens to be a stronger running car "stock" than any of my other 2 were.. LOL

Re: White 2005 Crossfire Limited Convertible
I have enjoyed the two years with this Crossfire but I am ready to move on to something else. So it has to go. I have it listed on ebay for $7500 if anyone is interested.
Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
75k on an Alabaster 2005 Limited Roadster manual...I'll keep an eye on this one. If only it had a Vanilla interior, it would be the perfect sun-reflecting car.

Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
Car did not sell on ebay. Not desperate to sell so I'll keep driving until the Spring and try again. It's 80 degrees in South Louisiana today so I'll put the Top down and go for a drive.
Re: White 2005 Crossfie Limited Convertible
An Alabaster Roadster at that price and miles would have definitely had my attention had I not scored my Aero Blue last year..(would have gone good with the coupe )
