Woody,

I felt the same way when I first installed the new selectable unit. After the throttle reset there is a little difference between off (dark) and the other two. Definitely more responsive.

Installed the Sprint Booster you sold me today. Made the car easier for me to shift and it sure felt like a lot more torque at low RPMs.

Thanks!

Mike

I ordered the selectable unit from Karl and received it today. It makes a noticeable difference in how the throttle responds. I would love to be see how the throttle body plate and the pedal move in conjunction, but I am not that small.

An incredible difference when you get into the throttle. I would without a doubt recommend the product to anyone on the fence.

That's pretty funny, but it really would be great to see this wouldn't it. Like simulcast video?; and merging the 2 videos side by side. That'll never happen, Ha. But wait, what about taking the intake connection off for a test using a mirror at the proper angle and then looking through the windshield at it? Or if you have, or know someone with one of those backup cameras; you could place the cam.(with a bright light shining at it) in front of the TB and watch the monitor as you press the pedal?

Just got my selectable Sprint Booster today - thanks, Karl, for the great service. Can't wait for tomorrow so I can put it in!

EDIT: Had to wait until Sunday to put it in - took all of 10 minutes and 5 of that was waiting to disconnect the TPS per the instructions. The difference is incredible almost no lag when stepping on the pedal - it almost feels like there is a throttle cable now. It is now much easier to match revs while shifting. Definately a MUST HAVE!

SRTSIX - aka "Karl" sold me a new selectable Sprint Booster this past week. First let me say: Top notch vendor and quick shipment. Highly recommended.

Now let me say this about the car after the install - simple, the car should have come like this from the factory. I unhooked the battery, installed the SB, set it to red then went for a drive. WOW! It is simply Fantastic!!!!!! The car is SO much more responsive and eager to run. You don't have to work at making it run anymore. Barely touch the gas and the car just launches. It is so much more fun than it already was! It is worth the $280. Totally different and much more enjoyable car.

I am now going to go buy stock in rear tires.

Had to share my experience.

Cheers,
KrzyFast

No question about it Franc. I am loving it!!!!!!
On the mod list for new owners, this should be item No. 1, with the intake, pulley and tune following.

I only wish the weather would be more cooperative now.

For the longest time I thought NO WAY I'm going to spend three hundred bucks on that thing.

But ...

After reading everyones review on the Sprint Booster I am really contemplating about purchasing one especially at a discounted price compared to retail which I find rather SWEET!

Anyhow, question for you guys that installed this in your Crossfire..... was it easy or somewhat difficult? does anyone have a video of a How to? Is there instructions for install for our specific model when the Sprint Booster arrives?

I saw some videos on YouTube of other peoples vehicle ( they were not Crossfire's though ) so I have a good idea how to install and I tend to work on my vehicles my self so it doesn't look all that hard to do but someone mentioned earlier in this thread that they wished they had just taken the drivers seat out to install this thing and that concerned me since I thought this installs right where the drivers pedal is located so if anyone can clarify on that one I'd like to know as I'm about ready to pull the trigger and purchase this.

The guy that mentioned removing the seat was me. If you saw me you would understand; I'm a wide body(250#) and older guy that doesn't bend around like I used to. It's a bit rough for me to fit into our confined little pedal area. But it's a very easy install, sorry if I created a doubt for you. I think it's a no-brainer to buy one of these, and Karl has a great price on it. Do it.

dinasrt,

How much are these now, last I saw SRTSix had them for $280, I think. Still seem high to me. everyone sounds very happy with it after install. I guess that what counts is are you happy with the purchase and performance.

I'm not sure what current price is. It is my belief that S.B. has no competition right now that I'm aware of. This allows them to charge what the market will bare. You'll have to P.M. Karl for current price. I'm pretty sure he has the best price around for it. I paid $329. and am still happy with it. See posts #17 and #43 for reviews. Hope this helps you. Bob

The selectable units are still $280 delivered to the continental US. Selling prices on the internet have gone down a bit, but cost has remained the same. I started with a very low price so, that can't change. I am not doing this for profit.

The new selectable version does allow adjustability, you can select off, mild improvement or full (or race mode). When I drive, it stays on full, however when my wife drives it, the switch is off.

Definitely getting less wear out of the rear tires, but it is sooooo much fun, it is worth it.
