Weekly feature that affects all of us-pick a topic (tires, gasoline, sites to buy accessories, oil changes, paint, future products, etc) and deal with the topic from readers' views, chryslers views, mechanics' views, etc. and rotate the feature and ask for responses. Many of these topics are scattered and need to be focused in one place.

How about a way of listing all members from each state, and then have some way of sending them all a pm to inform them about GTG's and such.

Make two members lists. One of active members, posts or views within say, 60-90 days, and then one for everyone else. I've sent a bunch of PM's to the central FLA members that I could find about our upcoming GTG, but I was amazed at the number of people that register and then never come back on line with us. I joined this site to be informed and notified about things regarding my Crossfire. Makes me wonder why they joined if they never come back again.

I'd like to see a vendors list-LOL!!!
Rotex gold dealer and there number.
Suspension dealers and numbers.
Stuff like that.
I know a lot of members have added to there cars using many different sources. Could we list them and the info that would be needed.

How about a list of services that could be provided by other members?
This should be directly tied into the active members only part.
Car detailing???
Refinance?
Car audio.
Need jewelry, I'll sell gold cheaper than anyone, that's my business!!

Just a few to start.

John

May be a help button to advise the newest members, like myself, the quickest way to nav the sight and an easy way to post pictures.

You know when there's a thread and it indicates there are pictures posted in it with the little paperclip icon. I would like to be able to just click on that paperclip icon and see all the pictures posted in that thread, so I can skip reading all the bla bla bla whoooie.

Just an idea...

I hadn't noticed this suggestion thread, so I originally posted this in the SRT6 Forum:

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll start here. I've run into a little glitch in ordering an accessory for my XF. When I ordered it I wasn't aware of the discount offered by the vendor to our group. I e-mailed them after the fact and asked if they could apply the discount since I'd learned about their product on a thread here. They're a bit new to this type of marketing apparently and are struggling to apply the discount after the fact. I've explained that in order to be aware of offers such as theirs, a new forum member would have to review almost all thread messages about their product before ordering. I suggested that they may want to add a question on to their site asking if the customer is a part of a forum such as ours so that they can present the offer before the order is placed. We have the Marketplace Forum, but it seems more of a member to member flea market type of place than a place for vendors to present their offers. Should we have a Vendor Forum where vendors can consolidate their offers and keep them current and where members can review them before pacing orders? I believe I've seen specials from Aiden, Wind Restrictor and others, but they're buried in the regular forum threads. I wouldn't discourage the vendors from participating on the other threads, but at least this way a new member could find all of the vendor offers readily in one spot. What do you think?

I don't know if anyone has suggested this... We should have a sticky for some useful procedures and things to do. This will be useful for new members even senior too. i guess i can start the list of procedures / things.

1. FSS Reset
2. Adaptive acceleration memory reset.
3. Door rust prevention.

In the members list it should show where (city) (state) where each member is located...that way we could hook up with local X Fire members.

Question Re: Suggestions

Did anything become of the Crossfire Club which was suggested early on? It might be worth trying the idea again if not.

Dear Admin,

Am not sure, maybe the thought had been revealed somewhere before.

I was helping a friend/member that lose the password.

I came across this FAQ.
"I lost my password, what can I do?
If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link on any page that requires you to fill in your password.

This will bring up a page where you should enter your registered email address, and an email will be sent to that address instantly, with instructions for resetting your password"

Just that it wasn't particularly simple to find such page unless we go through some steps.

Can we have the feature "Forgotten Your Password" on the main page where we usually key in our username and password?

Thank you very much.

How about creating a link or a spot at the very top for a Crossfire store, where you can't reply to, but has all the products that are for sale. With some of us like Blacklimitedcoupe, SRT SIX, Shirt-A-Day producing products, it would be nice to shop at the store and see what's available. I'm trying to work out something where we can buy hats, visors, blankets, coffee tumblers and more without having to coordinate group buys. Sort of a store for the members to buy stuff. The way we do it today, is not effective. Postings roll off the screen and unless someone replies chances are some of us will mis the opportunity.

Administrators, What do you think?

Default cupholder

I am laughing so hard. The cup holder is just an inspiration. I don't know which takes more of my time; driving the xf or pondering whether there is a use for the cupholder.

Thanks for the laugh,
RDSP
