Lightbulb Compare problems - Wiper function? 2004 Coupe

Good day all.

Just wondered if anyone can match the following deficiencies in their car and if there are any other suggestions for action?
Also; any more problems I should keep an eye out for as it appears my car must have been made in the middle of Oktoberfest?

Lastly; does the wiper motor function in conjunction with the speed of the car? Stop as vehicle stops?

Here's my list of things to be mindful of:

Driver Head Light 'fogged' - Result – dealership ordered only the ‘seal’ for replacement when the issue was the entire light unit.

Wiring 'short' resulted in passenger turn signals (front and back) to remain illuminated and constant draw on battery – kills it twice.

Replace Battery

Traction control not functioning – light flickered Result – corrected problem and identified as a result of previous deficiencies – I waited 1.5 hours while technician investigated issue and learned of how to “re-set” the system.

Broken spring sound in driver seat (6 months) - Finally diagnosed by technicians however; Service Manager indicated that while the deficiency has been identified, they have no solution to correct it. AWAITING DC DIRECTION.

Radio – replaced once as unit had started scanning through preprogrammed stations.
2nd Radio – AM reception excessive static & replacement unit has begun to ‘reprogram’ itself as original unit.

Heated Seats replaced 3 times – 2x Driver and 1 time passenger seat.

Cigarette lighter functions after 3rd repair/replacement.

Rear spoiler remained engaged *motor was replaced as a result of a ‘code’ technicians finally identify however; can not identify the cause.

Head light required (burn out after 8 months).

Scratch to interior door ‘grab’ handle– caused by dealership.

Paint chip to rear hatch area – caused by dealership.

ROTF - Maybe those wipers work like a turbo-prop at high speeds. At 150 MPH that bad boy might just take off!!!

Dude - You WIN!!! Too many issues for me to compete with.

Thanks...But not one I wanted to win...

Actually...the wiper issue is related to a delay that occurs as the car comes to a complete stop. While on FAST speed it slows to normal and when on NORMAL it stops for a few moments then works intermittently until moving again. Is this normal?

My wipers go the same speed no matter how fast the car is going. Of coarse it could be that I'm not normal. People have told me this before!

Yes, that is normal. When at rest the wipers switch to the next setting down - fast to normal, normal to intermittent. Its an MB thing.

Sorry to hear about the other issues, they are definitely NOT normal.

I don't think mine do this...or may I just never noticed. Doesn't rain much out here in CA, and when it does, I don't like to drive the XF.

Sorry to hear about all your issues. Looks like you got a real monday production car. Some of your problems have been mentioned already. But some are new.
As long as your dealer can fix it ...

The wiper thing is normal and a feature I like very much. There's no nervous wiping while standing on red.

The wipers do that, it is the design.
The headlights can usually be polished.
Sorry about the rest of the stuff, no help there.
