aero blues... new stripes...
I like em'! Where did he get them and how much!? Looks great!
I'm trying to find some decals that are like a racing flag, any idea where I could get them?

First off I'd like to thank Andrew for hooking up the pics, I just can't seem to figure out how to get so they open up when you click onto this post. I didn't want to post the link and make someone have to click onto them.
Thanks for the compliments on the pics, but all the thanks needs to go to FormerMX because he did this first, taking the plunge for the rest of us and now we know how it looks. I can ask my buddy how much for the stripes and could send them to whomever wants them. I can't see it costing much more than $30.00 plus S/H.
BTW Cissy, on Alabaster I'd go with a dark gray, just like the color inside the cove or even black. I actually thought that a color that matched the Cedar would look cool too, but I'd have to get a Crossfire out to my buddy and try and match up the color as close as possible. Once I find out what he'd charge to make them I'll let you guys know. I think its a good idea for him to make (2) sets of them incase there's an accident too.

I was also thinking dark gray because my interior is dark gray, one tone. Although Black may look good as well. Hmm...something to think about.
Thanks!
Thanks!
i will take some credit -- thank you, thank you.

here's some pics of mine for whoever wants to do it on their graphite. it matches the wheels/trim pretty nicely.

I'd say stay with low value grey, people will see them, but they won't be "in your face".
NOTE to Former NXMX5: I told you I liked those stripes ages ago (you definitely hit on a nice touch to the car) and would ask you to post two things. You've posted the width of the vinyl, but can you post the angle (approximately) and the space between the stripes...I think they're just right. I've played on photo shop a bit, and I'm not improving on you design.
Thanks!
Just for the record I ended up going with 2.5" whereas FormerMX went with 2 3/16" and like he told me, just follow the door line down and then do the same with the one rearwards. You want the outside of the stripe to be as even as possible with the door and again I must say, this really looks great on the car. I call them "slasher stripes".
IIRC they are 2 3/16", and i cut the top of the stripes at a 45° angle. The space between the stripes i just did by eye. i think AB's got too much space between them; he was able to do that because the stripes aren't at a big angle; they're more vertical. i wanted a more angled look, and therefore had to get them closer together so they would clear the door jamb.

Hey Rob, feel free to post the pics of your car here again so people can see the angle difference, I didn't even notice that. I just followed the door line and had him do so to the rear one. It would cool to compare them side by side, well, side by side as much as you can on the internet.
Rob,
I am going to follow your lead and go with a slightly thinner stripe, at a 45 degree angle with less space in between the two stripes. It makes for a "faster" appearance.

Rob and Aero Blue,
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I went out today and followed your lead on the stripes. I think they turned out great.

Hi Aero,
Could you please tell me what kind of vinyl your friend used? I know from past experience, that if it is not high performance vinyl you can take the clear coat off the paint when vinyl is removed sometimes. Also being out in the weather, if not high performance, it won't last.
Were getting ready to do my car here at work, so was just hoping your friend used the high performance stuff. All your cars that have been posted look great!
Thanks!
