high oil pressure
while driving home from work the past 2 days i have had a hi oil pressure warning come up on the dash in the trip od. i was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or any ideas what may be causing it. thanks
First question I would have to ask. Are you running Mobil 1, 0w-40 weight oil?
If you had your oil changed by a dealer, or a "Quickie Lube" place, maybe they didn't put the right oil back in.
Would an oil ring on the filters bayonet being out of place, possible cause higher than normal oil pressure?

betting they put the standard stuff in your car and kept the mobil one... thicker oil would cause the high oil pressure or extremely cold operating temperatures... most oil filters have a bypass valve that opens if the filter clogs up, not sure if ours does...
That's not high oil pressure you're seeing, it's high oil level. They over-filled it. Take the car back ASAP and make them fix it. There is a specific warning in the owner's manual against over-filling the oil.
