Hello Everyone! I just wanted to take a few moments and introduce myself. Fresh out of college last month, I'm taking the next year to work and gain research experience while applying to graduate schools. Now with a little more money in my pocket, I'm looking to upgrade my vehicle. I currently drive a '94 Mustang GT. While the car has been fun I'll be the first to admit that it's the definition of unrefined. Enter the Crossfire; visually appealing with style and build quality to boot. I've been doing serious research into this car for months now (how I stumbled across this forum) and I think it's just right for me. Reading over the fervor all of you share for this car has only increased my excitement and anticipation of owning my own. I'll be sure to keep you all up to date as I bring this little dream of mine to fruition!
P.S. - I would like to apologize for the similarity between my name and "The Crossfirekid." You can only imagine my shock and horror when, after creating my account, I saw the name had already been taken.

I agree with ChryslerGirl, can't go wrong with the Crossfire. I've had mine for over a year now and enjoy every minute in it. Even though it only has 6k miles, it still cheers me up just looking at it. One cool car!
Congrats on your graduation. My son just graduated as well from down in your area. Where did you graduate from UM? He went to GW. What will you be studying in Grad school? Your obviously a bright kid, choosing a Crossfire. Its a great little car and a reasonably priced car as well. It seems Americas/Europes relative ignoring of our car has made it a steal when compared to the competition. Pick a nice one while the pickin is still relatively good. You actually can't pick a bad one. Its funny, every time a look at someone's gallery or avatar with a pic of their car I say ooh, I should've gotten that color. They're all striking. Enjoy and welcome.
Welcome to the forum Crossfirekid, I admire your desire for the Crossfire! Good luck with the research work and Grad School. My daughter is currently working on her Masters. It's not easy, but well worth it!

Welcome and congrats on your new future! I have two kids in college and hope to be able to offer them the same "congrats" in a few years.
I am no expert as I've recently become a Crossfire owner as of two weeks ago. However, after many many car purchases that run the entire inventory of almost every type of car, make, and model, this is by far, the most fun to drive on wheels! It's responsive, handles like a dream, and looks great on and off the road.
Good luck with your research, and almost any thought or concern you might have about this car can be found under the "search" mode of this forum. I already have a lengthy list of add-on mods I want to do to my roadster...Lots to do and not enough time or "$$" to do it all right now! In time...in time...

Congrats on your degree! My daughter is getting hers this next year. English Lit. I got mine in Physics.
I have never, ever loved a car. I am in love with the XF. I stare at it. I love driving it. I drove 105 mph this last weekend. It truly did not seem that fast, I had to look at the mometer to tell. Had to tell my foot to stay off the pedal.
And neither my H or I can get over the fact it is Mercedes.
