i was scheduled for an oil change today and was planning on waiting for the hour service. but since the car was so low... they had some difficulties finding the correct lift to raise the car. i had a meeting and couldn't wait any longer for the car to be completed...

i spoke to the sales manager and was able to use his demo for a couple hours... an srt-8 grand cherokee. he told me to enjoy & feel the power...

wow... what a freakin beast... the exhaust note was worth the admission in itself.

the power out of the hole was so strong... the steering wheel was suffering from torque steer... keep in mind all four wheels are trying to turn... a slight load of power via the brake... the nose lifts and hang on... this thing runs high 4's from 0 - 60. very believable times.

a bit of excitement for the day... thought i would share.

 

Man, you suck. How much do they want for something like that?

 

~ low 40's. quite the bargin for the power and interior space it provides.

 

MPG=8. ...A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

That's a badass truck and I'm trying to talk my wife into leasing one when her Buick Ranier lease is up, but I think I'd have to get a Honda fit to offset the MPG though. I mean, the SRT-8 gets something like 12/17. I'm glad you enjoyed your ride Andrew and I think when my Crossfire is in for its oil change this fall, I'm going to ask to take an SRT-8 300C for a ride!

 

And to think all I ever get are 4 cyl. Dodge Stratus...that SRT Jeep is one hot vehicle...I am sure you enjoyed every minute of the experience.

When I had my car in for service all I got was a PT Cruiser. Thanks Chrysler :/.

How much is an oil change going for these days?? I am about due. Are they now using those more expensive oil filters?

 

About $110 for the first service which includes the oil change.
