Does the button turn off ESP or Traction Control?

Does the button turn off ESP or Traction Control?

I just got my owners manual and the manual states the button on the lower dash turns off the ESP and not Traction control.

It further states that traction control turns on @ 24 mph.

This doesn't seem right to me.
I have read a few threads here that say TC is turned off by the button.

What's the real story?

It turns esp off. I use it to make quick U turns. If you have it on you have to commit to the full 180 degree turn. Turn it off and you can just **** the wheel, goose the pedal and around you go.
