04Fire, looks great top work. How did you get the colour spot on, and what's the colour code? (or color depending on where your from).
Bobs yours looks great too with the black, oh decisions decisions.

I checked with my PPG guy he can make rattle cans with factory matched colors for about $16.00 per can.
Here is the catch, I have to order 12 cans of each color. I am thinking of just getting a pint of white and doing my grill with my air brush, unless there is some interest in you all buying a few cans of white.

SRTSIX, Thanks for a great idea.
I did this mod and I love it. It really makes the front end look good.
BTW, First I used Krylon Fusion but the color was not right so I tryed Rust-oleum for plastic and it's a very good match for the black paint on our cars.

As I've said before I think it's the best mod I've seen on the car yet except on my black car I don't think its worth the effort for the amount of visual change that you would see. Its stunning on white.

...Amazing how it gives the car a "finished" look. Makes the chrome horizontal bars "pop".
Well I'm getting the supplies tomorrow... I'm going to paint the grill the same color as the car...2005 limited...I don't know the color, its that light blue silver.

"...The black looks much richer (especially on a black Crossfire) and the chrome bars add some bling that was missing with the silver ones.
Total cost $15.98. Total time 1 hour..."
Not a lot of money or time. Believe me the difference really is dramatic between a black car with a gray and silver grill and a black car with a black and chrome grill.
It looks even better in person...
I want to thank everybody who contributed to this thread. After checking out the looks of the photos of XFires with grills painted to match the body colors, I was motivated to take the plunge and change my grill color.
I used a spray can of factory match color (inferno red) and a can of clear coat lacquer. The grill looks much better than the grey factory setup. I did retain the factory silver color on the leading edge of three horizontal grill slats instead of going with the vinyl chrome as many have done.
Except for all the hand rubbing on the clear coat that had to be done, the project wasn't too difficult. I wish I would have had a little better weather (warmer) and more daylight hours, but in summary everything worked out fine. The front of the car has a more finished look to it now.
