Repair codes
I'm not really interested in paying a dealer to tell me I need an oil change. However, I'm not sure that’s what the car is telling me. When I start it up I get 1 wrench, something that looks like a clock to the left of the wrench and the number 27 to the right of the wrench. I checked the maintenance schedule book and it indicates that 1 wrench is likely routine service. Can anyone tell me what code the # 27 is? Or, point me in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated.
The FSS (the wrench icons in the odometer) only indicates when routine service is required. It typically shows the number of miles remaining until the next oil change, but if your car has been sitting a lot, it will show the number of days instead. If it displays the clock and a number, the number is the number of days remaining until you need to get your oil changed. If it is a negative number, then you are that many days over.
