Default Auto dimming rear view mirror?

Does the limited have an auto dimming rear view mirror? I don't remember anybody mentioning that in any of the base vs. limited threads. What other than the mirror is different from the 2?

My '04 has the auto dimming rear view mirror, but it's not the best...I used to have a 2005 Altima SL and it had a very nice auto dimming mirror. You could tell it was working and it looked a little nicer...

I never thought I'd love a mirror as much as I love the auto dimming mirror.

About a month ago I posted something about the dimming mirror not always being a blessing at times. Like not being able to make out exactly what or who is following you.
Well, last week I was coming home from Pittsburg when I got off the interstate just north of the airport, just so I could enjoy the "curvy" secondary roads that run between Ohio and Penn. The road I was on actually takes me thru a little section of W.Va also.
Traffic was very light, and I was able to run some of the deserted sections at well above the posted speed limit. My biggest fear was a deer jumping out in front of me, but that didn't happen.
After about a 1/2 hour of enjoying the smooth, twisty, and hilly road, I noticed some head lights cresting the hills behind me. I continued on at a brisk rate, and every time the road straightened out I noticed the car was closing on me. I gradually slowed down, and finally the car caught up with me and glued himself to my bumper. I still kept going a little over the posted speed limit for awhile when wouldn't you know it, on goes the flashing lights. I finally found a place to pull over, and as soon as I do, he goes flying past me and proceeds out of sight. Feeling like I needed to change my shorts, I continued the rest of the way home in a more sedate manner. A few miles down the road, I see the cruiser at a gas station filling up, so I know he was just messing with me. I bet he had a good laugh.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that if it hadn't been for the automatic dimming mirror, I would have been able to see his light bar as soon as he got close to me and I would have slowed down long before I did.
I wish there was a switch that would enable me to turn it off if I wanted to.

That "switch" is called electrical tape. Just put something over the rearward-facing photocell and the mirror will never dim. Put something over the forward-facing photocell and you will have a permanently dimmed mirror.

Yeah, I guess I should have taken my own advice from a month ago. Thanks for reminding me Bobs.
You know what they say, it's hell getting old.

Auto dimming mirror, well to each their own and i love mine.
In march '04 i bought my first new graphite auto xfire and loved lived and had loads of fun with it, and everything about it.
Aug '06 i trade it in for a machine gray auto, the first eevning the first thing i miss well the second actually, cup holder was first. (that’s another story). Anyway some gooney drives up behind me at a stop light with millions of kk watts of lights and blinds me for a minute.
So next day back to the dealer who says never knew they had one, oh it in the USA spec only, your old xfire was a one off, blah blah.
Well after 2 months of wrangling talking and quoting advertising magazines the local chrysler dealer Kings of Stockport UK nicely fitted one for free, FREE today.
Many thanks to them.
I think the advertisement for the ACTUAL CAR that i bought which stated it had the auto dimming mirror swung the decision,
Whilst i was at the showroom today a guy collected his new SRT and guess what? A standard fit mirror.
Thanks again to Kings, i am a happy chapie, anyone want to swap a cupholder!
