Just discovered a feature
After 2-1/2 years I was standing in the pouring rain pumping gas into my Crossfire and I noticed an odd pocket on the inside of the gas door. The gas cap fits into it.
Let us know when you discover the back seat.
There are some nice seat covers for them on e-bay.
You can find the link on the "Anyone have this yet!!" thread.

I often wondered why the soda holder in the lid always spilled my sodas! Now I know it’s for the gas cap. Well no more soda down the side of my car after a trip to the gas station. Now if I can only figure out why that thing on the front of the engine never seems full. You know the one that looks like a magneto... I keep putting water in there but it disappears!?
It’s a tough car to own but you gotta love it, well almost all of us love it.

Whew! I am so glad John figured it out! I'm a girl, and that's what I was using it for. Kinda had me scared there for a minute... <G>
Actually, my other car had the same thing for the gas cap...

LOL..that's pretty funny (but informative) I didn't know that was there either...good catch. Now I'm going hunting for that back seat y'all been talking about.
LOL, that's funny some of you just figured that out.
My question is...what have you been doing with the gas cap this whole time, leaving it lay against the side of the car while filling it up??

Well said Eracer.
First thing I did when I filled it up for the first time was to check and see how DC/MB put their gas cap holder. Most cars have some sort of way to hold the gas cap on the lid. My wife's 300 has it ... my old Sante Fe had it.
Since we are on discovered features ...
How many have reprogrammed their fob to open all doors with a single push instead of two presses?

OK, they say confession is good for the soul, and since everybody is coming clean about their recent discoveries, here's mine.
I just went out in the garage and took a closer look at my ash tray. I read a long time ago (in this forum) that there is supposed to be a hidden coin holder built in, but I've never seen it. Well what do ya know, I finally found it.
I guess the next time I'll read the actual owners manual, and not just the "crib notes".

Re reprogramming the key fob to set for only one push, see post #4 in:

It might be funny to some of the young folks here but when I started driving the gas station attendant held the gas cap in his hand while he pumped the gas into your tank. His associate checked the oil and washed the windows and headlights while you waited.
They took your money to the office and came back with change and a glass or plate. They didn't expect a tip. Gas was 28.9 cents per gallon.
The idea of providing a place for the owner to put the gas cap while pumping hadn't occurred to anyone. Automobile owners didn't pump gas. Neither had the idea of putting wheels and extendable handles on luggage.
Excuse me while I squat in the corner and scratch my ribs and say; ook, ook.
Yes, my phone does have a dial on it, it does hang on the wall and it has a cord connected handset. The one in the basement is black.

John Webster, a good thing about a wall phone with a cord is you never forget where you laid it, and you don't have to replace its batteries either.
That dial must be a real pain though when you get a hold of an "automated" operator that's always telling you to "please press #1 now".
