Re: New 2006 Crossfires
Dave - I saw that, had my oil changed there two weeks ago. I think the service staff is still pretty much intact. When I was waiting for my car one of their sales reps tried to sell me that car you are talking about (they hadn't gotten it in yet). I asked him why he thought I needed a new one when mine had 4,500 miles on it? Then he tried to sell me a PT, told him been there done that. Guess they are pretty desperate to sell cars. The place was empty when I was there, 10 to noon.
Olney Cruise Night starts up on April 7th FYI, lets meet up if you can.

Re: New 2006 Crossfires
Hello guys - I just took delivery of the first new car I've purchased in 10 years (I've had 60 cars, only 3 of them new) - it's one of those all black base models. A local dealer south of Buffalo had a small printed ad saying they were discounting them by $11g's ($18,999 was the no-dicker price). I was the only one to put down $100, so they called me first 5 weeks later when mine came in. I had always admired the car and from the rear, it's the prettiest car I've seen, aside from the 928 Porsche. Your forum gave me tons of good info, including connecting me with a guy (Scott) who just sold me his 4 TSW wheels and still good mounted snows at a bargain price - I do intend to drive it through the winter.
It's a little truck like and slow to respond in first, the shift to second takes time (like most cars), then, as you all know, it runs great 2nd through 6th. I'll have to figure out how to justify the sprint thing to the wife, unless someone out there wants to sell me a used one cheap. The sticker by the way, says something like "82% German content" and it came without floor mats. I bought some at Pep Boys that fit fine.
Thanks for the forum - I plan to set mileage records by adding about 30,000 miles a year and through Buffalo winters - we'll see what happens. Already bought a vacuum-type oil extractor and looking for fleece filters.

Re: New 2006 Crossfires
Checked out the "New Crossfire" at the local dealership, its a black coupe ltd, 2005 shipped in from Flemington(?) N.J. 39k ca $ (23k US $). with a no dicker sticker price of 19k US, Chrysler can probably make a small profit by dumping any leftover models north of the 49th. It costs about 3k to change over the odometer, running lights and transport.
Re: New 2006 Crossfires
This evening, I noticed a new Crossfire convertible (I'm old enough that cars with roll up windows are convertibles, roadsters have side curtains) at First Chrysler in Manitowoc, WI.
I took a look and the window sticker (and the VIN) call it a 2006 model. It's a white Limited with a sticker price just over $40K.

Re: New 2006 Crossfires
I am in the process of buying a brand new 2006 Crossfire Coupe Limited six speed with Nav that list for $36,570 for $23,870. That was the best deal I could get from numerous dealers primarily in Illinois and Iowa. Coupes seemed to be harder to find than Roadsters.
It certainly is a head turner.
I just hope maintenance will not become an issue.
