Default Best Brand of Tires?

I am buying some Asanti AF112's and was wondering which brand of rubber to get? I was think either Nitto, Toyo, Mich Pilot Sports, or something else. I am not really wanting to buy Pirelli Pzero's because I don't think they are truthfully worth it. So what is a good brand for a good price?

Try the Goodyear F1 tire. It's a great tire, and a great value.

I just got the BFG KDW's for $850. I like them so far, they are a lot cheaper than the Pilots.

Thumbs up Re: Best Brand of Tires?

IMO the BFG KDW2's are my choice of perf tires. They have a 300 treadwear number, "AA" traction rating and "A" temp. In addition to this, they have a very high speed rating, thus making it a great match for the Crossfires capabilities.

BTW, don't know if you care about this, but they have a smooth sidewall, thus making applying tire dressing easier and giving the tire a MUCH better looking appearance IMO!

And what brand/models do you all recommend for ALL SEASON?

I'm rolling on the factory installed Continental A/S here in Michigan. You can't go wrong with the original equipment tires. I'm pretty happy with them so far, but haven't yet had it in more than an inch of snow.

Great race/autocross tires, hardly a choice for street tires. The Hoosier and Hankook are
race tires. The Michelin's are a street legal race tire, great dry handling, but poor tread life.

A good choice for every day performance street tires:

- Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D-3
- Michelin Pilot Sport 2
- Continental ContiSport Contact 2

Read the entire Car and Driver tire comparison or go to the last page for the test results.

If you go to TireRack and research their tests, the F1 also finished in first place.

I thought that was what you were getting at, but added my .02. There are a lot of new
folks here that may have not known your #431 is a race car...

+1 for Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s. AMAZING tire. I've been using it for a couple years on my cars and love them.
