Default They replicated the 1st gear issue!!!

After a couple attempts at the dealer, the 1st gear popping issue happened, they called me on saturday and told me they were replacing the transmission!! I was sooo happy that they told me that. hopefully my first gear issue will be resolved now!

Was your transmission popping out of first gear? Mine has been doing it for 3-years, I was thinking that I just hadn't put it all the way in. Maybe there's more to it.

I had my trans replaced about a year ago for the 1st gear issue. Chrysler knows that this is a problem. My local dealer was really great about getting it taken care of, including loaning me a car for the 10 days it took to get the trans from Chrysler.

i just got my car back today, it took a total of 2 weeks, the ride still feels smooth and it cost me $100 bucks because my car wasn't under warranty. i was kinda upset they charged me the $100 because it was in the shop for 2 weeks and it had no gas!! but i guess its all worth it.

Not maybe, you do have a problem with your transmission. Many early build cars before
Dec '04 had an issue with first gear. Take it to the dealer.

Way to go. I had my entire transmission replaced in Jan '04. It has never popped out of
gear since.
Would you clarify something? In your first post you say the dealer is going to replace your
transmission. Then you took your car in for the repair and it was out of warranty. I must
of missed something, they fixed an'out of warranty problem' and it only cost you $100?
Something with your story doesn't add up, or I would call getting an out of warranty issue
such as the transmission being fixed for $100, the mother of all bargains...

Well, my 3 year/36k mile warranty expired then the 7 year/70k mile powertrain extended warranty? kicks in with a $100 Deductible.

i hope this helps.

I never knew the 7/70 powertrain that comes with the car had a deductible. Are you talking about an extended
warranty you purchased?

So when did Chrysler start charging a $100 deductible on the standard 7/70 power train warranty
that comes with the car???
