Default Questions for Dr. Z

All,
I am in process of securing a press pass to attend the media event at DC Auto Show, where the key note will be delivered by none other than Dr. Z.
I am hoping that there will be oppounties to speak with him/ask questions, or at least speak with some other exec/marketing types from Chrysler.

I certainly do not represent this group (simply a member) and would appreciate if anyone here has some good lines of questions to raise if the opportunity presents itself. At the very least, I hope to give the good Dr. a set of questions from forum members en masse.

I realize the flood gates are now open for all types of snippy jokes (let them fly), but i'm really hoping some genuine questions can be raised. I will compile the list, present it to the group before the show, and see what I can do about hand delivering it.

(there's another thread "DC Auto show", from which i had some resonsponses already...please use this one for any additional comments)

Thanks all and particularly HDDP for helping with the press access.

I, and I'm sure some others, would like to know what is going on with the Crossfire. Model year 2004 produced all 'loaded' coupes. 2005 brought base model coupes and roadsters, limited model coupes and roadsters, and the SRT6 coupes and roadsters. 2006 seemed to have only leaked out a few limited roadsters (that I have seen).

On Chrysler.com, it still states the Crossfire is a 2005, no word about 2006 models or beyond. Supposedly the Xfire is no more, especially the SRT6, but a recent SRT6 ad in Autoweek (I think) has everyone confused.
Plus at last week's 2007 Detroit International Auto Show, they had a Crossfire on display, what gives?

All information related to Crossfires of any kind seem to be in limbo. It would be nice to have some real information and specific production numbers/details.

The Crossfire is dead and gone. They still have 2005 models sitting on the lot and in distribution facilities. They're taking up space that could be used by faster moving money makers.
In essence, they're losing money sitting on the cars. Advertising will help get them out of inventory and hopefully prevent a two year squat by the few 2006 models out there.

My 02, good luck getting him to answer any questions regarding the mishandling of the XF under his watch. It is my understanding that DC is still sitting on a bunch of 06's with some going to rental fleets. So you can ask him what's DC's strategy for the future of the XF?. The car I saw at the Detroit autoshow last week was in fact a 2006 model, where are the 07's?
Anyway like I said before good luck and enjoy the show, you will be in good company but don't expect too much from Dr ZZZZZZ.

if they allow you to ask him a prescreened question you can bet it will not be anything he has to think about. remember he is a puppet that doesn't know anything chrysler pr. i think it would be money well spent if they got a true blooded usa apple pie spokesmen to sell there wares here... just my .02

Ask him if the Chrysler Firepower concept will become a production car in 2008. If so, how much?

What's your source for that? About a month or two ago, they put it at 80% that it would be made...

It was posted here on this forum not long ago.

I don't have the exact news article from DC, but I found these doing a quick search:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ight=firepower

http://wardsauto.com/ar/chrysler_ext...hes_firepower/

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/12/...ild-firepower/

Do a google for more information, it's out there.

Chrysler can't build, market, sell and service a Crossfire at a MSRP of $34k. Do you really
believe they could of supported the FirePower with the Viper already on the market? I
don't think so.
