continuous dc for car charger

Is there a way to make the car charger work without the key? I have a bluetooth gps and when the power goes off the gps goes off so I have to turn it back on every time?

Take a look at your GPS' settings. They usually have a setting to make it power-on automatically when power is applied.

Have you thought about 'hard-wiring' it into the car?
(So it always has power - it shouldn't drain the battery).

It's a portable bluetooth gps that connects to my cellular in the car for gps so I just thought there might be a easy way to change the setting. Thanks anyway.
