Default '06 worries...

After reading some of the posts on this forum, it sounds like there has been several people who have had problems with their crossfires when they got ones that had been sitting in storage or at port for a year or 2.

The '06 i am waiting to take delivery of has been sitting around for at least a year i would think as the dealership is waiting to get it from a chrysler storage area... now i'm paranoid that mine might turn out to be junk...

Does anyone no what kinda chances i'm looking at that i will run into problems?

Um... not sure what you are talking about... Why would they turn out to be junk... I would be surprised if they would be any different than the ones manufactured earlier...

i read some posts where people talked about having electrical problems and paint issues from their new crossfires having sat outside in a storage area for over a year because there was not enough demand for them... i'm curious if i might have to deal with the same issues with the one i'm waiting on.

I took delivery of my '05 LTD on July 15, 2005. It had a build date of May 2004. KOW I have had only one small problem with the rear lid lock other than that I'm extremely happy with the car.
I got gas tonight and the guy pumping gas next to me said "that's the prettiest sports car I've ever seen". That's what you get when you own a Crossfire.

I am mostly concerned with stuff related to what is mentioned in the "2006 Crossfire for Employees" post... should i be concerned about the issues related to sitting at port for extended periods of time?

Haven't had any issues with our '05 that sat with the dealer until December 2006 when we made the purchase... but I recommend you do as I did and purchase the Chrysler 7 year/60,000 mile extended warranty. Well worth the extra $1,000 and the cost is rolled into your total financed purchase price!

I wouldn't be worried. We have only had a very minor issue with ours over the past year that was fixed with a quick trip to the dealer. Before these cars are delivered to the dealer, they are inspected at the port for any issues and if there are (battery, tires, etc) they are taken care of.
