Default advice on servicing

Hi,

I have been told it takes 3 hours to replace the front wheel bearings and 1 hour for the plugs, does this seem right?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the time issue, but with you getting this type of work done I am assuming you have some high mileage... how many miles are on your crossfire???

Mechanically, that time seems about right, to do a good job. The question is do you need the work done. Especially the wheel bearing !!!

I wouldn't worry about the wheel bearing until 100k, then I would replace them with a new set or rotors. Remember they are German bearings, not those cheap Chinese bearings used in American cars. Lol.

3 hrs is a little long, I could do all four bearings within 2 hours, only using a hammer and punch. So a shop with a press should get it done within 1.5 hrs.

Thanks guys for your help. Also the hydraulic ram on the steering needs to be fixed, how easy is it to get parts for the crossfire? I am in Ireland.

Thanks.
